Connecting with Creation
A Life in Balance: March (Archive)
Connecting with creation is more than admiring a brilliant sunset or vibrant rainbow. Nature can nourish, sustain, and heal us. Feeling the cool crisp air against your skin, breathing in the fragrance of the first spring shower, or listening to the symphony of sounds on a warm summer evening all speak to the awe and wonderment of God’s gift of creation.
Engagement Opportunities: Bible verses for reflection: Genesis 1, Genesis 2, Job 12:7-8, Psalm 104:24-25, Psalm 19:1 Activities: Go for a walk, listen to the song of the birds, start a garden, pick up litter, go fishing, look at the stars, buy flowers for someone you care about, thank God for this day. Faith Lutheran Activities: We are starting to recycle at Faith Lutheran and will have a day together at Pinnacle Mountain. You can also read the ELCA social statement on Caring for Creation. |
